If medical marijuana is something doctors are using in patients, why are other citizens not able to use it then. Marijuana is supposed to calm you down and feel good. Some even say that it isn’t as harmful as other drugs. Many people use these reasons as to why they think marijuana should be legalized. To be honest those reasons are not good ones. Legalizing marijuana would cause way more problems. The crime rate will increase, more accidents will occur, more drug addictions will occur; and to say the least some people’s health will deteriorate. Marijuana should not be legalized. Crime! When thinking about legalizing marijuana they have to think of crime. People tend to lose their way when they are high. According to the ( Bureau of Justice) “overall 41% of violent crimes that were committed against college students and 38% of non students were committed by an offender perceived to be using drugs”. They also the government would legalize it they would have more money, but that is not going to help because the people who sell the weed will be so use to making all the money so that way they will not be up to giving half of what they make to the government.
