Let's make America healthy again! Are you one of those people who try to lose weight, but can never seem to lose any no matter how hard you try? Do watch the nutritional details of all the food you eat? Most restaurant's and fast food places' menus do not include nutritional information on the food you are eating. A law saying that all eating places should be required to have nutritional details on their menus should be made. Nutritional details such as calories, fat calories, sodium, calcium, and the like should be provided on menus. Three reasons why this should be mandatory are this will help people eat healthier, healthy people are happier and more productive, and fewer calories will be consumed. 41 years ago people only consumed 18% of calories away from home. Today the average person consumes 33% of calories away from home. That is a wopping 15% increase. One statement found in the article, Label the Meals that supports this is, "Those customers consume an average of 400 fewer calories that they typically did prior to labeling." This statement supports this because it shows people consumed 400 less calories than before labeling started. On the other hand, the author of the article, We Don't Need Labels stated, "However, when the cash register records were analyzed, there was no change from the way those same customers ordered previously." However, studies show that the percentage of healthy eaters went up. Many people do not know that in a Zaxby's grilled chicken salad, you consume about an average of 475 calories, but if restaurants and fast food places included nutritional information on menus, people would be healthier and would not eat unhealthy foods causing their health to
