Prescription Drug Ads

Remember when you were younger and you would want to watch Saturday morning cartoons? So many commercials would come on and all you wanted to do was watch your show. You couldn’t do that because there would be ads, prescription drug ads that would interfere with those cartoons. These ads have gotten worse over the years between people having the urge to smoke and take pills such as chantix , and one of the side effects may be birth defects, and many others. People are getting the wrong information about the prescription drugs, and are taking them for their health problems and then having more problems than they should have. Prescription medication advertising should not be allowed on television because, healthcare professionals may feel pressured because not only that but it tells the watcher false information and increase healthcare costs.

To begin, Professionals feel pressured to give a diagnosis that may be inaccurate. They have patients that come into their office to see them and all they want is the prescription drugs that have been broadcast on the television because they feel persuaded by what they are being told in these ads .
