Refugees are people that have to move if they are to save their lives or preserve their freedom (Refugees) as stated by the United Nations. There have been refugee crises throughout American history particularly during World War II with European refugees and after World War II when people were fleeing the Communist regimes in Hungary, Poland, Korea, Cuba, China, and the Former Yugoslavia. Throughout this history, there have been some controversies with the acceptance of refugees into the country.
