We need energy for so many things. We use it to keep our food fresh, light up our house, and for many other things. We can’t live without it. Wind and Nuclear energy would bring many benefits to Illinois. These energy generators would work well in this community because there is water in Illinois and nuclear fission generators need to be near water. Also there is a lot of flat land in Illinois where there can be windmills. Chicago is in Illinois and Chicago needs a lot of energy and electricity. Anywhere in Illinois that has flat land will work. Open land works for windmills because tall objects will block wind and an area near water works for nuclear fission. A few locations are near Lake Michigan because it is close to Chicago and there is water. Having energy generators close to the big city of Chicago is beneficial because it needs a lot more energy compared to farms or suburbs. This benefits Chicago because Chicago needs a lot of electricity to power the whole city and with efficient, cheap, and reliable energy it is perfect. Also Chicago is in debt so having a cheap and efficient energy source helps so there isn’t a lot of money used on energy. …show more content…

Then the energy is distributed to different places for you to use. A nuclear reactor get atoms when they split and creates electricity for people to use. Wind energy doesn’t create greenhouses gases, creates jobs, and is cheap.
It does kills hundreds of thousands of birds ever year. When wind doesn’t blow it doesn’t work, and they are often located in remote locations away from cities.
Nuclear fission is very efficient and very reliable. Also it emits no greenhouse gases. It’s expensive to build and has dangerous radioactive waste. Nuclear fission is reliable which compliments wind energy. Wind energy isn’t always reliable due to the chance thatthere is no wind blowing. The windmill can’t
