Students are being tracked right now. Some schools across the globe are making their student IDs have tracking devices in them so they know where the student is at all times. Now things like the cost of how much they are putting into making these, the school watching your every move, and bad accidents , can depend on whether there should be trackers in school IDs or not. Schools should never have to need to know where the kids are by having these devices. Some schools put at least 430,000 dollars in making these ID cards. Now, other schools put that money into things they will use. Laptops can be bought for every 1500 students in that learning environment for a cost of only $170,000! So why do trackers need to even be bought if the schools money can be spent on things that actually matter to the learning. Also, students are having to start to pay the school for them! A news site called ThreatPost stated that “schools could very well be watching you if a tracker is on you at almost all-times during school hours.” When walking home from school, what if you forget to take your ID off, or maybe you have to where it home? This shows that the school can find out where you live just by checking tracker, and possibly watching where you go after school. A learning environment should not have to know where you go after you leave a university, or academy.If getting picked up means leaving the school, where will the tracker be now? Just imagine the principal coming out and asking why the tracker is outside.
