All students hear during their entire educational journey from elementary school to graduation of high school how crucial the need is to receive a higher education. In the past a person could get by in the workforce with little to no high school education; let alone college education. That is no longer the case. The need for a college education is more important now than it has ever been before.

A college education is so important because without it one cannot have a future. To make any sort of life that includes a moderately comfortable lifestyle, people can no longer stop at a high school diploma. One will not be able to survive off of minimum wage only having basic skills. Even receiving two years of schooling is not enough anymore. The demand for educated and trained people in the workforce is at an all time high. Job requirements have changed. Employers no longer want a simple high school diploma. They are seeking people with bachelor degrees or higher. So to obtain a decent paying job that will be able to help provide a future; one will need a college education. …show more content…

No one is ever content with their own life. College can be looked at in the same way. People are pushing themselves for a higher education for personal reasons.
