Early Childhood Education Philosophy Early Childhood Education is a very meaningful step in the education system because it is the transition from home to school. It lays down the foundation for learning and is the necessary building block years. Additionally, it is important to create a strong foundation for the learning to be built upon because it must uphold in the future academic storms. I believe it is essential in the classroom to make the student feel valued, safe with the teacher’s guidance, and to let the students’ interests’ direct learning. A student should feel valued and respected in the environment of the classroom. This requires investing into the student with time and genuine care. The meaningful minutes a teacher takes to ask a student how he or she is doing can make a dramatic difference. Furthermore, giving opportunities for class discussions gives a chance for students to be heard and students feel free to express themselves. Overall, this type of classroom environment fosters respect and creates a meaningful connection between the teacher and student. …show more content…
