A lot of people say that Pluto is a planet, but many also say it is not. People also considered Pluto a dwarf planet because it is small in size and so far from the other planets. There is three criterias that all planets including Pluto have to meet to qualify to be a planet and Pluto only meets two out of the three criterias. Pluto orbits the Sun and has its own spherical shape created and maintained by its own gravitational force just like all of the other planets. There is just one criteria that Pluto doesn't meet that all the other plants do meet. I think Pluto should be a planet.

According to Discovery Education, to qualify as being a planet you must meet the three criterias. The definition (criteria) of a planet is an object that must orbit the Sun, the object must have a spherical shape, the shape must be created and maintained by the object's own gravitational force, and the object must have “ cleared the neighborhood” around its orbit of other objects. Without having the definition of a planet, you can't really determine if Pluto is or isn’t a planet. Without the definition of a planet you can't really determine if Pluto is a planet or not. Knowing that there are other planets outside of Earth's solar system that don't meet the definition of a planet, but Is still considered a planet is unfair. Why should Pluto not be considered a planet for not meeting all three criterias, but the other planets outside of our solar system can? If other planets don't reach the criterias and are still considered a planet, then Pluto should be considered a planet too, or if Pluto can’t be a planet then the other plants outside of the solar system shouldn't be planets if they don’t meet the criterias
