Shortly before this tragic event, Brown and Witness 101 robbed Ferguson Market and Liquor of several packs of cigarillos. When the store manager tried to stop him, Michael Brown used his size as an advantage and left.
Michael Brown was shot and killed on August 9, 2014, in Ferguson, Missouri which is a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Michael Brown, an 18 year old man, was fatally shot by Darren Wilson, a 28 year old police officer. Michael Brown was African-American and Darren Wilson is white. Since the shooting occurred there have been protests both peaceful and violent. These protests revolve around two things, perceived racial profiling and police brutality.
Being an adolescent, who is in fact african american writing this essay, of course the first case which caught my attention was the 2012 Trayvon Martin case. Note, Trayvon was not killed by a member of law enforcement, rather, he was killed by a vigilante. But although Trayvon was not killed by a member of law enforcement this stirred up attention across america especially in the african american community concerning the law and members of its enforcement (judges, lawyers, police officers etc.) Following Trayvon’s death, deaths of other african americans by police officers started receiving national attention. Deaths of victims such as Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice and others were being talked about nationwide following the death of Trayvon.
It 's been about a year and a half since 18 year old Michael Brown was shot by Officer Darren Wilson. This ordeal still holds a lot of controversy. I, myself believe that Wilson 's action were unjustifiable and way worse than just unfair. Regardless of whether or not Michael had stolen something, shooting to kill was unnessecary. It was also unacceptabe and disrespectful for his body to be taken away hours later and in a cop car.
On august 9 2014, an African American 18 year old name Michael brown was killed by Police officer Darren Wilson, in Ferguson with undefined reasons. Michael Brown was a suspect in robbery of a convenience store. Michael brown was walking down the street with his friend Dorian Johnson when he was shot to death by officer Wilson. According to CNN Dorian Johnson stated Brown and himself were walking in the middle of the street when a white male approach them and shouted to get on the sidewalk. The young men refuse then the officer drove forward almost hitting the pair.

Officer Darren Wilson, traveling alone in his squad car, found them walking in the middle of the street on Canfield Drive. He saw that Michael Brown fit the description of a man suspected in a convenience store theft and asked the two men to step across to the sidewalk. The recollection of the events that ensued is disparate and still a source of mystery and confusion.
Michael Brown case is still presented in the heart and mind of people around the world. Angela Davis manifest how Michel Brown was killed by a police officer. It reflects how people still think about the difference in skin color, race, beliefs and many other categories.

Wilson said that it was because he was a suspect in a robbery case and when he approached Brown he punched him and ran away, and that is when he shot him. Except Brown was with one of his friends who said that once Wilson chased after him he stopped in a surrender position, and that is when Wilson shot him. Wilson shot him at least six times. There was not enough evidence to support Brown's friends story so Wilson didn’t get charged.

Police officers are entitled to care and protect the citizens of the country? In recent news, white male police officers have corrupted their use of power and used unnecessary, excessive force against African American males. Police brutality with African Americans resulted in the Walter Scott case, Michael Brown case, Trayvon Martin Case, and Eric Garner case. The following cases are referred to as racist to the public because of white male police officers are doing avoidable acts to African American males. The justifications induced rioting and protesting in the community of the African American males.
Preceding Brown 's murder, it was presumable that any unarmed (and often innocent) black person who encountered a Caucasian authority figure could potentially end up in a horrid situation. Eric Garner, Rekia Boyd, Shantel Davis and Oscar Grant, are just a handful of unarmed African-Americans that were killed by police officers across the United States before the loss of Brown.
Some of the recent names of the victims that were killed are Eric Garner, Michael Brown, and Alton Sterling. One major fact in all three deaths was not one of the victims were armed with any weapon before losing their life at the hands of a police officer. Also, the grand jury declined to indict officers that were involved in any of the cases. Several individuals around the U.S were killed by police officers that either used excessive force or fatally shoot an unarmed victim.
