Introduction: Pomona City experiences various crimes exemplified by murder, rape, burglaries, theft, robbery, and assault. The trend has affected the quality of life of its residents. To be precise, the crime rate in the city is at 82%, and it is higher than the other U.S cities such as California (City-data.com, n.d.). It is evident that the daily cases that Pomona reports are 1.24 times more than those documented in California. This pattern of crime implies that the security of Pomona's citizenry has been compromised to the extent of affecting their health and quality of life (Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 2018).
