Islam spread within a span of 100 years. In 610, Muhammad made a visit to a cave on Mount Hira to pray. This experience changed his life and he realized that Allah was the one true god. After receiving Allah's words for two years, Muhammad decided it was time to talk. Soon Muhammad's teachings, called Islam, reached Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
In Document A, it states,” By the middle of the 6th century… Mecca was … prosperous and important.” Mecca is prosperous and important meaning that people would trade there often and people may travel the routes and spread the religion and since it was important, people went there tremendously so people would trade religions and praise Islam. Plus in Document C, it shows that Islam spread in the vast region through Muhammad followers. Muhammad had many followers which meant that he had a variety of people teaching Islam.
His first revelation was in 610 AD. On a night where he was in a cave near Mecca, the angel Gabriel came to him. He demanded Muhammad to read something. What he read eventually became a part of the Qur’an. From then on, Muhammad was the messenger of Allah.

By that time his religion already grew at an extensive amount, and soon Muslim empires were created, which extended Islam's political and religious power. Many factors such as trade routes and the person named Mansa Musa, contributed an enormous amount to the spread of Islam throughout parts of Asia, North and West Africa, and parts of Europe. The Islamic Empires did a lot of work themselves to help spread their religion.

That means that the Muhammad role in Islamic belief is very different from that of Jesus in Christianity. Muhammad is viewed as a Prophet or messenger while Christians consider Jesus to be the incarnation of the deity itself. Little is known about the early life of Muhammad not even his birth date.
