There is always somebody who works behind the scene of an organization but does not receive the recognition that they rightfully deserves. Even though without them, the play would not have been possible. This can sum up the life as being a NFL Scout/Football Scout. For one thing, those people worked hard for the money they made. Athletes make tons of money by hitting a ball with a stick of wood or throwing a ball around. Next, these people don’t make that much more money than pro athletes. For example, Michael Fascitelli made $64.4 million in 2013. Another example, Ralph Lauren in 1976 earned $7.5 billion.
Everyday athletes around the world are striving to get better. Doing everything in their power to be more effective than the next guy. Athletes day in and day out put in hours of hard work to obtain the skill set needed to take their game to the next level. There is roughly 70,000 players that play professional baseball. This includes the MLB, MLB’s minor league teams, and independent baseball teams. I believe that having all the different levels of baseball is a great idea. Having all these different leagues allow you to, develop your baseball skills, make money while playing something you love, and get a chance to play in the MLB. I saw people who were willing to give their all for their team. Playing a sport takes a lot. You have to be willing to push yourself both mentally and physically to perform your best. Athletes are constantly being judged on their ability to do different things, and the mentality they have towards the game or competition. Watching the field hockey game I saw a group of individuals that came together as one to try to be a part of something greater than themselves.

They did not choose to be role models, they are chosen to by the time they turned professional or signed with a sports team. People tend to look up to athletes because they portray that they are able to overcome adversities and achieving greatness against the odds. Some people are good at sports or have a natural ability at sports. There is a difference between someone who is just good at sports or plays tennis on the weekends and someone who plays advanced tennis in a club, and then professional tennis players. Just like athletes, some caregivers may donate money or their time once or twice but others turn caregiving into a lifelong passion. Some people even become professional caregivers, like professional athletes.

I want to explain to the athlete that just showing up and being physically present at practice will not improve their performance because experts know better (pg. 224). Before each practice I will talk to the athlete to see what their goals are for the practice and then help them reach the goals throughout practice.
