Gun Control is a very debated topic. Those that have an opinion hold it tight and are not willing to compromise with the other side. This is a topic that has been discussed time and time again and will never come to rest until both sides are happy, which will never happen. A topic that arises after every major school shooting, public shooting, or presidential debate, there are many articles that contain evidence as to what each believes is the right way. Gun control will always be talked about, and never fully come to a rest. It will be discussed at dinner tables, lunch breaks, and government meetings no matter what happens.
Many people argue that gun control is essential for the safety of society. If gun laws are lax then it will lead to a crisis amongst individuals and ultimately result in utter chaos. Gun control is good in the way that with it comes proper gun usage and verifying that a weapon is placed in the hands of a safe individual and not someone that is going to cause problems. Stricter gun control laws are essential in keeping a safe society and deterring the amount of killings that guns result in.

The United States Constitution reads in the Second Amendment, “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” This is a statement that has rung through the ears of every American for years and one of the oldest American traditions to the book. The stricter these gun control laws before, the more they infringe upon the very right to bear arms. In 2008 Justice Antonin Scalia stated that “The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the
