To be an American means to have all of the freedoms promised to you in the Constitution. To have the ability to speak freely, have opinions on things from diet to politics, and to live and work wherever you choose. An American should never fear the government or the loss of their rights if they aren’t doing anything wrong and they should feel safe with their friends and neighbors who should respect their opinions without violence. To be an American means you can live life to its full potential with hard work and achievable goals, the American Dream still a power source all over the country. To be an american is to be safe and free. At one point, America was the greatest country in the world; our doors were open to anyone wanting a home of freedom, we were the greatest power source with new inventions and ideas everyday, and the government was slowly getting better and stronger as they organized what was most important for the great country. This ability puts the power in the people, which is one of the ideals that America was built upon and shows what is right and what is wrong in our government by public example. This ability can be used against anything and the numbers of people that are viewed performing their right are seen on the news and social media every year. Whether it be for a faulty supreme court case, a law that is felt to violate rights, or simply a speeding ticket that the driver feels was given unjustifiably, this right is crucial to American lives since we are able to fight for what is right. By seeing these acts in the media, the ethics and goodness of the American people are an example to the next generation, who will always continue the practice of this important
