Throughout the years the controversial question; “Should the United States bring back the questionable; however effective, Guantánamo Bay torture program to obtain information from enemies to the country?” has frequented often. This is a question that has been asked since George W. Bush left office on January 20, 2009. This highly debated question is agreed among roughly 2/3rds of Americans. They believe it is a justified means of extracting information from enemies to the country and would like to see it brought back. Most people would say that torture is wrong and should never be used on someone, but the CIA torture program really did work with its creation came a new way of stopping horrendous acts before they could even happen. Granted some of the victims have been personally damaged for life due to some of the non-legal acts that they performed. His court case continues to be open with no real close end date making his stay at the jail never ending. Khalid was interviewed by the Washington Spectator and believes his case will never come to a end and that he will spend the rest of his life in Guantanamo Bay prison if he is not executed first. Defense attorney Cheryl Bormann says “we are attempting to practice law here“, when pleaing with the judge not to give Khalid the death penalty. Khalid is not the only one on death row at the prison, in fact there are three others besides him all being charged with the same crimes and awaiting release but more likely execution.
