Numerous studies have been conducted on various factors of the Affordable Health Care Act, otherwise known as “Obamacare”. As the Care Act was being passed congress noted the changes that were going to be made, but were not entirely true. According to Holt and Darrow (2017), “We were promised that we could keep our insurance plan, but almost five million people lost their plans when the law went into effect” (Holt & Darrow, 2017, para. 1). Not only did people lose their insurance plans, but they lost their primary doctors that they were in fact told they were able to keep. Over ten million people were enrolled in Obamacare, and were implemented to drop and add different doctors and providers to maintain their eligibility for the plan. This is significant because when Americans were signing up for Obamacare benefits, they thought they were eligible for cheaper health insurance, etc. As time passed, they are now stuck paying more for coverage and not getting the benefits they were
