New technology, including machine guns and mustard gas, created an environment for a stalemate to develop, further drawing out the war and causing more casualties. The end of the war resulted in 17 million dead, another 10 million wounded, and a treaty leaving many frustrated Germans ready to start another war. Although territorial loss influenced World War 2, the main causes were military restrictions, war guilt, and reparations.
17 million deaths was how WWI ended and the treaty of Versailles that came soon after that was supposed to help make peace helped start a secondary war. In Europe not long after WWI ended on November 11, 1918 the Versailles Treaty was being made with leaders from the countries involved in the war such as France, England, the US. But, Germany was deliberately excluded. This essay will address the question of how the Versailles Treaty helped cause World War II. The Treaty of Versailles helped cause World War II by treating Germany harshly.
It did this through imposing territorial loss, military restrictions, economic reparations, and war guilt (Hook exercise). The consequences for Germany began with territorial loss. According to Document A, Germany completely lost four major areas of land, Lorraine, Alsace, Polish Corridor, and Danzig. The people living in these countries no longer were a part of Germany.

World War II was a terrible event that will be remembered as one of the darkest chapters in history. It created a massive impact on the development of the entire world. The cause of the war was due to economic problems, nationalism, and the rise of dictatorship in certain countries. Some still believe the causes were due to unresolved problems from the first world war. World War I damaged the economy of European countries so badly the people were starting to take loans from the United States government, which led up to the Great Depression.
World War II is the most devastating war in all of history. Many factors contributed to the war against the world. These included the Rape or Nanjing, the Holocaust, Nazi Germany, and many of the weapons such as the atomic bomb. Various factors lead up to this event including, D-Day, the bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Pearl Harbor, and the surrender of Nazi Germany. World War II did not have an official start because there were very many variables leading to the war.
There were certain circumstances from the ending of World War I that led up to World War II. Such great destruction caused the victorious nations to suffer almost as much as the vanquished nations. In an attempt to bring peace, the Treaty of Versailles actually helped cause a lot of dissatisfaction between some successful nations, as well as most of the defeated nations. The economy of Germany was shaken by what the Treaty of Versailles stated. Germany along with Europe both had difficulties and struggles recovering.

After both Archduke and his wife got shot the Allies and Central Powers began to declare war on each other.

Although these murders were the direct events that triggered this great war. There were also other reasons for the cause of this war, reasons that date back to the nineteenth century, reasons that were far more problematic and actually,to this day, are still questioned and disputed by historians.
