I strongly recommend Rebekah Forester for scholarship consideration at Stephen F. Austin University. She is an active member in the classroom, in extra-curricular activities, and in school leadership positions. As both her AP English Language and Composition instructor during the 2015-2016 school year as well as the sponsor for the Junior Executive Committee, I have seen Rebekah shine inside and outside of the classroom. In the classroom, Rebekah shows leadership through action. The other students look up to her and follow her lead; it is safe to say that she provides a first-rate example of how a focus on scholarship and the determination to succeed can impact and entire classroom. One thing that has always stood out about Rebekah is her ability to manage her busy schedule consisting of extra-curricular obligations and the rigorous assignments that are required in an AP English classroom. On more than one occasion she has stopped by my classroom to discuss one or two missed questions on a test in order to improve her performance on subsequent assessments.
