In my undergraduate studies, no course has left a positive impact on me more than creative writing. Most courses I taken revolved on applying and understanding academic knowledge of Political Science, Sociological, and philosophical subjects. While I followed and achieved this criteria, I felt that my writing lacked personal expression that stimulated readers. Not only did this course improved my writing ability, but it imparted additional set of skills and self-knowledge that will help my pursuit in legal studies.
The structure of coursework had improve my writing and intellectual skills. In one experience, I introduced my stories in my peer editing sessions and continued to bring revised versions in subsequent sessions. The whole experience allowed me to consider constructive feedback from classmates and provide feedback. I developed into a better writer because the course helped motivate me to continue improving my work as I learned of my strengths, weaknesses and the writing tools I can utilize.

In this course, storytelling is something I faced difficulty with, but I developed a deeper appreciation for the art. It enabled me to create stories that express deep emotion in a poetic manner. For example, I wrote a story about the time I witnessed public hazing of freshmen high school students. Not only did I understand what emotion I felt during the experience, but I understood how my views on bullying developed from that time to the present day. I gained an understanding of who I was and learned of writing tools, and emotions I can express these experiences. I value this skill especially because I aim to become a future public interest lawyer. Using my developed skills of storytelling and self-reflexivity will aid me to express my mission to fighting on behalf of individuals, groups and causes that promote social
