Of course these situations caused disruption in the Quintanilla family, so this almost immediately got in the hands of the world. As much as an artist doesn’t want the world to know something, they always find out. As mentioned before, Selena’s fame was flowing over the borders by the time she met Chris. So it was no surprise her “secret” marriage was announced on radio stations right after they got married. Her fame caused her to lose all sort of privacy, which is how people found out about the relationship. This caused the world to have opinions about the relationship, pointing out that Selena was too good for Chris or vice versa. However, this was all viewed as messy and criticized Selena or Abraham for their behaviors and decisions. Even though things got out of hand at first, Selena kept true to her feelings while it lasted.
