Have you ever thought about being about to blow fire or become invisible? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back in time? Jacob the main character, finds out that he is peculiar; he can view monsters. While Jacob is discussing this topic with his secret admirer, Emma, Miss Aviot tells Miss Peregrine how wights broke into the loop and have killed a portion of her children. Jacob discovers that wights have been following him his entire life and a few are on the island right now. A wight captures Miss Peregrine, but Emma and Jacob manage to save her. But there is an enormous dilemma, she isn’t able to turn back into human form. These are just a small portion of dilemmas included in this book. While reading this book, Ransom Riggs makes it very manageable to predict, to visualize the odd unique creatures, and to connect with the unit we are currently learning …show more content…

To begin, Emma released many emotions that helped me create many marvelous visuals. Towards the middle of the book, she was always angry and having little tantrums every 5 seconds. Miss Peregrine even tells Jacob that Emma “has a certain flair for the dramatic” (Riggs 152). I could just see if the back of mind Emma grimacing at Jacob when he told her that he was Abs grandson. All her emotions rushed to her head like she was on a fast roller coaster her stomach reaching her mouth. Approaching the end of the book her emotions flipped. She turned away from the dark side and transferred into the light. “Emma held out a hand and flicked her wrist, but rather than producing a ball of fire in her hand glowed a scintillating blue.” (Riggs 243). I can just see Emma’s hand glowing of blue, her face warm and full of love. the author talked about Emma's face lighting up when she was around Jacob. Emma began to love Jacob, Kiss Jacob, and hug Jacob:). By Emma showing her emotions, I was able to visualize her a lot more
