Love is a strong feeling of deep affection towards another person. Strong love can lead to the death of you, your loved ones, friends and family. In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare we see the main characters Romeo and Juliet fall in love with each other, but cannot be together because their parents are enemies. They still decide to be together no matter what will happen to them. Intense love lead to the death of Mercutio, Lady Montague and Romeo and Juliet.
Firstly, the death of Mercutio is caused by the love he has for Romeo, and the love that Romeo has for Mercutio. Mercutio has love for Romeo that he would even fight for Romeo when other people insults him. For example, “Tybalt you rat-catcher, let’s fight!.” (III,i) Mercutio treats Romeo like his brother, Mercutio think that whenever Romeo is in trouble he will have to help him. Romeo has love for Mercutio that lead to the death of him. For instance, “ Why on the earth did you get in the way? He wounded me under your arm.”(III,i) “ I was trying to help.”(III,i) Romeo are trying to stop the fight so Mercutio do not get hurt. Mercutio had a sword fight with Tybalt and end up dying because Romeo accidentally blocked his sight.

Lady Montague wants Romeo to be safe, and not involve in any trouble in the the city. As shown by, “Where is Romeo? Have you seen him today? I’m glad he wasn’t part of this.”(I,i) The two family Capulet and Montague has a fight in street of Verona, Lady Montague love Romeo, so she does not want troubles to ruin his life. Lady Montague die after Romeo’s exile. For example, “Oh no! My wife died tonight, prince. Her grief over her son’s exile broke her heart.”(V,iii) Lady Montague feel upset that Romeo are no longer able to live in Verona with the family, and have to live in elsewhere alone.
