Through the years Thrive Healthcare has achieved great acknowledgement for its advancements in technology, for example, electronic documentation into the patient and members chart. However, there are still a number of departments that have not been transitioned or upgraded to the new documentation system. This has proven to be a risk as paper documentation can be misplaced, damaged and not legible for others. Furthermore, a number of internal systems are out dated in nature and are not user-friendly. This can cause for staff disengagement following the processes that are in place due to frustration with the systems, leading to them taking independent actions that can lead to mistakes, missed-steps and unstandardized process. In some cases lack of accountability and communication can prove as a weakness, when management is not following up on staff practices to ensure that they are being followed. This action can lead to prolonged behavior that can ultimately result in safety issues, waste of resources and deviation of process. Addressing identified weakness can assist the organization with ways to overcome known barriers across the continuum, better positioning Thrive Healthcare Company for overall improvement and compliance and ultimately provide the highest standard and quality of care and services to its members ,their families and the …show more content…

A great example of this is Obamacare, the implementation of this caused a large rate of membership enrollment into our organization. The outcome of that a rapid increase in membership, forced Thrive Healthcare to review its business practices and resources in an effort to maintain quality of care, patient safety and ensuring that we could accommodate the needs of the members across the organization.
