Cassel is a difficult patient who has many needs and frequent tantrums. To have a social worker whom will be able to handle Ms. Cassel, it must be a middle-age Caucasian woman who have great experiences with clients like Ms. Cassel. In addition, that person must have patient and skills that will be able to touch many bases with Ms. Cassel with not much difficulty. Importantly, it must be a social worker who is open-minded and understanding to prepare any experiences Ms. Cassel will expose such as by soiling or unable to control her bowel-bladder during their meeting sessions.
Meri Brown actually divorced her husband Kody Brown so he could legally marry his 4th wife Robyn Brown. This was all in hopes that Kody could adopt her 3 children and make them part of the Brown family. People shared that Meri Brown is now speaking out about the adoption and how happy she is that these children are not a big part of their family. These children are from Robyn's previous marriage, but Kody has been raising them as his own for a while now. The only way that Kody Brown could adopt them was if he was actually legally married to Robyn because the court doesn't recognize their spiritual marriage.

The Baby Jessica Case A child, abandoned by blood, welcomed by the unknown and surrounded by both frustration and affection. Jessica Clausen-DeBoer, or Anna Schmidt, was born to Cara Clausen on February 9th, 1991. Jessica was originally left up for adoption by the DeBoers under the consent of her biological mother who got a signed consent of the believed-to-be biological father, Scott Seefeldt. This posed an issue, which led to greater conflict for years until the case ended, due to an error of the true paternity of Jessica.
Stroman has experienced several victories as well as some struggles throughout the years. She states that one of her best moments is being able to witness families or individuals make progress towards the goals they wanted to achieve at the beginning of treatment. However, there are times in which younger clients become frustrated with her due to following ethical policies such as reporting child abuse that makes her job difficult. When these incidents occur younger clients often feel guilty or become frustrated due to the change of dynamics of the home environment that has occurred. Specific treatment plans are implemented to further address these

Social services and social workers are known for providing helpful guidance to diminish the problem. In Baby’s case, she felt as if the social workers were just following a script and did not genuinely care about her. Baby said they all talk to her the same way even using the same lines, means they are not being genuine. Baby claims, “They had a cue card tucked away in one of their pockets with compliments that they were supposed to give me. Some of them had used the exact same lines on me” (O’Neil, 2006, p. 213).
Identification and response to urgent issues: • Determine the impact of the issue • Determine the client’s response, whether it is a ‘normal’ response • People at risk: developmental disability, brain injury, mental health issues, children, young people, domestic violence victims, alcohol and drug addicted, homelessness • Determine the risk through a risk assessment method. Imminent risk might include: negative demographics, interactions, attitudes, emotions and skill deficiencies, multiple stressors and the development of self-destructive and defiant behaviours. • Respond by defining the problem, making sure the client is safe, supporting the client, discover alternatives to the issue presented and the response to it, develop an action plan with the client and ensure the client is committed to following through with the plan. The change process and ways to monitor: • Explain expectations to the client and know what the client expects from the therapeutic relationship.
As I read the case study of Almeada and baby Anne, I was inspired by her case manager Barbra LaRosa, she provided social care and became the “bridge” between Almeade and the systems. One function of bridging is to narrow the gap between the services being offered and the needs of the individuals who are receiving those services. (Woodside, M. R. (2015). An Introduction to the Human Services, 8th Edition) Ms. LaRosa applied social care to Almeada while she was pregnant with baby Anne, she recognized Almeada's problems in living and since she worked at the school, and Almeada had not returned from summer break, she reached out to her to see what was going on and learn more about her life.
By establishing a worker/client relationship, this will provide Laura with a secure base to operate from in the future. She will be able to confidently explore her historical, current, and future relationship with her mother knowing that she can receive comfort and reassurance from me, her social worker. Once she recognizes this secure base, I will assist her in discovering how she currently handles her relationship with her mother. During this relational discovery process with her mother, I will also allow her to explore her relationship with me, showing Laura how her previous ways of dealing with others could be positively changed through the change of her various internal behavioral models. Through this social worker and client relationship exploration, Laura will discover how her current perceptions of her mother are connected to expectations from their relationship when she was a child, providing her the opportunity to view the current relationship differently.
