I have continued to achieve academic excellence in the classroom, earning four A’s and three B’s in the full International Baccalaureate Program (my school sent my updated transcript). I recently finished working on my extended essay in history and elow is the abstract of the paper. I would be pleased to send the full essay if requested. I have continued to be a leader in the St. Paul’s community. This year I became involved in the One Love Foundation, which teaches students about domestic violence and how to identify and prevent violence within the community. I recently spoke to the Junior class as St. Paul’s about this topic. As a native Marylander, I am passionate about this topic and I plan to continue to support the One Love Foundation. Additionally, I earned the role of captain of my varsity basketball team. I am a leader on the court and try to set an example for my teammates of how important it is to work hard in all aspects of life. I have developed very good study habits and a great work ethic at St. Paul’s, and I feel very prepared to continue to have success academically in college. I pursued the full IB diploma and committed myself to succeed. One of the most valuable skills I have learned in my four years at St. Paul’s is how and when to seek assistance if needed. I will continue to seek the guidance of teachers or study aides when necessary and to seek help beyond the four walls of my classroom when needed.
