CONTEXTUAL PROJECT
INTRODUCTION
The concepts in philosophy and theory of nursing are to the practice of nursing. It is the formation for professionalism. This project will try to connect what is taught in the classroom and relate it to the real world. It will give answers for the reason why specific subjects are taught. However, 10 concepts will be discussed in this paper, so as to validate the practical application of the philosophy and theory of nursing.
I will look at ten concepts from BLOCK-1, look at how each one apply to my personal life, and how each can be found in different contextual settings, followed by some research that refers to each concept, its applicability at my work place and finally discuss whether it is useful or NOT to

All these include caring behaviours, without which cannot render nursing services. Any other attitude outside of caring is like punishing the patient and will make the patient feel that I am wicked and mean harm instead of good. Therefore, the concept of caring is the essence of nursing.
An example of a caring situation – Mrs. B is a breast cancer patient who is terminally ill while doing for her, she told me she needed to transfer some money to her daughter studying in the UK and wanted me to help. We should listen to people and give advice or counsel our life style should convey the caring nature of nursing so as not to bring disrepute to ourselves and the profession.
CURRENT RELATED RESEARCH (NURSING AS CARING THEORY):
Care connotes a relationship between persons. In this case, members owe a duty bound to care for their patients. Caring is offered to patients, the fore elements of caring are attentiveness, responsibility, competence and responsiveness of the care received.
Nurses give attention when they find out the needs of the patient, family or community. Failure of the nurses to recognize the needs of the client make them feel that they did not experience care. Nurses who pay attention to their patients naturally or willingly step out of their own preferences and step into the patients’ shoes and this makes them understand the patient’s real-life situation.
When nurses walk on hospital, corridors and find lights in patients rooms and do not just walk pass it shows attentiveness. Another way of implementing caring through attentiveness is the Hourly Rounding where the nurses asks the clients directly if they have any
