Abortion rights are a big deal these days, and everyone seems to have their own opinion on the matter. In 1973, the Supreme Court made abortion legal in the US with the Roe v. Wade ruling. But the recent Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision in June 2022 has caused controversy, as it overturned Roe and led to many states restricting or even banning abortion altogether. Now, there's talk of putting the issue of abortion rights on the 2024 ballot, which means the voters will get to decide what they think is best. Protecting certain rights is a major concern for citizens across the United States, and that includes Louisiana. I think the best way to approach this subject is to share factual information and symbols that represent pro-choice values. I know that not everyone will agree with me, and that's okay.
