In the early 1500 was the Scientific Revolution, a time of new theories pertaining to science about the universe or own bodies. The scientific revolution had effected future generations through modern thinking and advancements about science. For example, Nicholas Copernicus had discovered some things about our universe and developed a new theory about the planets order.
The Scientific Revolution was caused by the age of exploration and for people questioning the Church. Up until this time, people had followed Greek science and biblical theory. Some of the things the church stated was true was that there were only four elements and how god controls motion, but after this era we see this isn’t all correct.

With this he had also made an important study with the laws of universal physics like law of inertia and the pendulum. One of the major things Galileo is remembered for was his conflict with the church. He had supported Copernicus of the heliocentric theory but this time he felt he should put it out into the world for them to see that the geocentric theory is really incorrect. This was a mistake because Pope Urban III put him on trial for heresy, meaning that he went against the Church’s beliefs. After Galileo’s trial it ended up that he had recanted his ideas with the punishment of being under house arrest at the age of 70. “Galileo denied that he “held” belief in the Copernican view but continued to write about the issue and evidence as a means of “discussion” rather than belief.” (www.history.com). During the last years of his life under house arrest, Galileo had written a summary of his early motion experiments. But after Galileo had died, I took nearly 300 years for the Church to realize and admit that he was right and for them to clear his name for
