Self Reflection On Group Work

Starting the group work, I was nervous, as this was our first group project which contributed heavily to our overall grade. My main concern was that it would be hard to gather the five of us together to get the work done; I was also concerned that 5 people trying to get across different ideas may lead to arguments, or people feeling pushed out. However, looking back these concerns were not a big deal, we worked very well together as group and I feel everyone had significant input of ideas for creating the questionnaire. Although as anticipated, trying to get all 5 of us together was challenging, we worked round absences very well. We started by gathering information and discussing the meaning of Philanthropy, this helped us then be able to start making progress on thinking of questions for the questionnaire. I felt this stage helped give me a better understanding of Philanthropy, what the project was asking of us, and how to go about getting results. The input of the data was held up on a couple of occasions, due to people being absent. Once the data was inputted we had to run the SPSS analysis. I found this analysis to be probably the most challenging SPSS task we have done thus far, two of our team mates were absent, leaving it to three of us to try and work our way through. I am not particularly confident with SPSS but found myself leading this section, after many hours and a fair amount of trail and error, we had correctly ran the SPSS analysis. I feel this processes helped strengthen my SPSS skills and confidence, as well as giving me a better insight into the results of the
