Emily Evans Dr. Kelley English 1000 16 April 2024 Learning Narrative During this semester in English 1000, I have worked a lot on expanding my writing skills and learning how to do research. There have been two big projects that I have worked on, my Rhetorical Analysis essay and the Wicked Problems research group project. Through these projects, I have learned many skills that I can apply to other aspects of my education. In my Rhetorical Analysis essay, I went into the essay honestly unsure of what I was going to write about. I knew what TED Talk interested me, but beyond that I did not know what I wanted to say about the talk specifically. I probably spent the most time working on the Wicked Problems project. From the very beginning, I did not like this project because it was a randomly assigned group project. For the remix assignment, I ended up working in the same group because I did not want to do the entire thing by myself, despite feeling mostly on my own with the original project. I ended up only being able to meet up with everyone one time right before it was due, and a couple other times with just one other person. They wrote some of the writing on the canvas graphic, but I ended up doing most of the formatting and design for the graphics. This was probably the only part of the project we got finished ahead of time, and that is only because I had to pressure them several times to meet up to finish it. Despite all of my issues with both phases of this project, I learned a lot about how to research
