A. Past: How did writing the BS draft go for you? What were the challenges? What was easy? What would you do differently if you had more time? The writing of the BS draft went well for me. I found that it was easy to organize my information into sections that had one effect in each paragraph. That being said, it was difficult to decide where to place information regarding those sections since many of the effects overlap with each other. It was also difficult to condense information and only summarize the most important aspects of my research. As I have found numerous sources that obtain valuable information regarding my topic, I had a lot of research to work with. Having a lot of information is a positive since it is essential for a research essay, but it is also a negative because it posed the challenge of picking out the most common and essential effects that patients face. That being said, if I had more time to work I would continue condensing my research well also expanding on describing what it is that patients face. B. Present: How did peer review aid you? The comments from the review indicated that I used strong evidence to help the audience gain an understanding of the effects of chronic pain, something that my group believed isn't well known. The process also reinstated my opinion that my paragraphs were organized and the main points of each were clear. For corrections, it was suggested that I paraphrase some quotes and condense information in some areas as some paragraphs were becoming lengthy. Another suggestion I received was to expand in an additional paragraph, what I believe the medical system should do to better treat chronic pain patients and the psychological effect that they face. I took this suggestion up as in my revised essay, I turned the statements I made into part of my argumentative
