Mrs. Williams,
No other Ursuline students think more highly of you than us. We, the students of Ursuline Academy, in order to form a more perfect school environment, propose the idea of a new and improved senior lounge. We believe that not only the seniors would benefit from this change, but also the entire student body. This lounge would allow for more places for students to work and socialize. As of now, the senior lounge is a very small, outdated room, and it only consists of a small table with a few chairs. This is why we propose that the senior lounge be moved to the current speech room. We understand that the speech team needs a room to work in as well, which is why we have the idea for the music room and the speech room to share spaces. To avoid overspending, it will be asked among the Ursuline community for donations of money and furniture for the lounge. Another problem that has arisen in relation to the senior lounge is: who will ensure the lounge will stay clean? There is a simple solution to this problem. Food will be prohibited in the lounge. This will allow for the insurance of cleanness for the classes now and to come. The students who do not choose to keep the lounge clean and orderly, will not be able to enter the lounge again until time has been dedicated to clean the lounge. If the wrongdoer continues to leave a disorderly environment, the privileges of that person will be taken away.
Another complication that will rise is who is going to move and decorate the new senior lounge? Well, we believe that it would be an outstanding idea to ask Ursuline students to set the new lounge up themselves. It has been decided that the best time to execute this idea is over summer break. Students would be allowed to come to Ursuline and dedicate their time; moving furniture, decorating, or cleaning up the room. By the time school begins again, seniors will have a new and improved senior lounge to work and socialize in. The lounge will allow for a place to work, relax, and
