From day one, members are encouraged to explore leadership roles within their chapters, specifically through the chapter committee structure. How the organization plans to be successful in the five star accreditation process of Adelphi University Building a foundation for excellence is a top priority when developing a new chapter. Using Adelphi’s Five Star Program in combination with our Fraternity expectations and our Five-Year New Chapter Support Plan, we are certain that our chapter at Adelphi will be successful. These individuals are familiar with the needs of a new chapter as well as how to build a strong infrastructure for lasting success. In the chapter’s infancy, we expect Chapter Consultants to play a large role in helping the chapter successfully complete the program. As the chapter becomes more established, chapter officers will work toward successful completion with support from their advisers and Content Specialists. In question 2, section I, you learned about our organizational structure and the critical content areas that have a Content Specialist — a volunteer who has expertise in that assigned area. These individuals will work closely with chapter officers and advisers to provide guidance and support to the chapter to achieve success in the Five Star Program. We expect our newly established chapter to meet at least a three-star rating within two years of establishment. Building on a strong foundation, the chapter will work toward the four-star and five-star levels over time. Our aim is that the chapter is a four-star chapter by the end of year five of its establishment. Because we are mindful of over-programming and aware that academics should be a student’s first priority, chapters are expected to have no more than two events per week.
