Social media throughout the years has become popular among people especially young adults. Social media is a form of escape for users. It also another outlet to talk to both friends and family online. In the article “It Cuts Both Ways” by Shirley Duglin Kennedy it discusses the idea of whether social media is a cause for depression in young adults. One can agree and disagree on the idea of social media being a cause of depression in young adults because of personal experiences and the evidence stated in the article.
