In 2010, a newly made mother named Alexandra Tobias allegedly killed her 3-month old son after getting angry when he wouldn’t stop crying. She picked him up and shook him several times and hit his head against the wall, killing him instantly. State guidelines are still keeping her to stay in prison for another 43 years. When this story is told people will usually gasp and get mad at the mother. How could someone be so cruel and inhumane? Well, as it turns out, this type of thing happens a lot more than people think. Some people get pregnant and decide they don’t want a child anymore, instead of staying pregnant and giving the child to an adoption center, they decide to go to the doctor and get a special treatment that kills the fetus. This treatment is called abortion.
