Children who are being targeted by advertisements is a bad thing for them especcailly at a young age.The kids are watching t.v. at home and they see the coolest new bike, the kid riding the bike in the comercial is all happy and having fun, meanwhile the kid at home watching him or her ride the bike also wants the bike and now is begging their parents to buy it for them. Advertisements have to many negative effects on children of a young age, "ads can make children feel inferior if they don't buy the product", ads provoke bullying because other kids have the newest toy and others don't.It makes them feel bad about themselfs. Now i dont think ads targeting kidsm should be banned in the United States , i just think they should be regulated to …show more content…

When kids see other kids being happy and having fun and they have to just want to have that same joy. children should be able to see the ads how elese are they gonna know what the newest toys are,its not like they go drive themselfs to the toy store and walk alses. kids see the ads and get excited about the toy but as soon as they ask their parents for the toy and get told no , they may pout for a few minutes but later on the go on and continue to play and do the things they want to do. Advertising isn't bad,it's a way for people to see whats going on out there in the world. Ads can promote good ideas for kids and some are just trying to crack open mommy and daddy's wallet but thats okay there young all they do is go to school all day and learn ABC's and 123's. Children should be able to see ads. Now however it's up to the businesses to regulate how they advertise these products for the children. in paragraph 4 of ''Self regulation and Education'' it says "children need to know how to see ads for what they are in the attempts to sell that product''. Now the child should know if the toy or item she or he wants would benifit them or
