Choose Charter Schools Nowadays, parents, who would like to have their children receive the best education, has been trying to find an inexpensive private school; however, all kinds of additional fees are being called “mandatory” during enrollment. It is making it financially challenging for a lot of the families to support their children to attend private school. Consequently, attending public funded school has become their inexpensive choice. Public school and charter school both receive public funding. Public schools are open for any child, operated by a unified school district with a same set of the education standards. Due to the overcrowd in traditional public schools, parents want to give their children a better education, so they want to send their children to a private school; however, the high tuition fee is a problem for most of the family. Since charter schools become more popular, charter schools become a solution for them because they are tuition free public schools and meet parents’ expectations. On the one hand, most parents do not want to send their children to public school because public schools have geographic boundaries that students can only attend the one which is in their area. It does not matter the school has a good ethos or not. On the contrary, public charter schools are more flexible. From studying the article “Public Charter Schools,” author Jim Mhoon states public charter schools do not have geography boundaries, and they serve students throughout the district and allow unrestricted transfers as they are available.
