Community colleges in the United States
There is no doubt that the 2015 State of the Union Address by President Barrack Obama has raised debate and on an issue that was seen as unlikely. Whereas the US has in the past been busy in debates and discussion regarding matters concerning education, not much attention had been driven to the issue of Community Colleges. However, the 2015 state of the Union address did raise much attention to matter concerning Community Colleges. This was after the President did put clear the intention of his administration to make community college education free to all in why is being referred to as "America’s College Promise”. From an objective perspective, Community Colleges should not be made free as the advantages of making them free are overshadowed by the disadvantages.
There is a slippery slope to the reliance on Community Colleges as the ultimate education for jobs is they are to be made free. So far, Community Colleges as are know are mostly used by Americans to gain two year course …show more content…

So far, there has been a great challenge with respect to transferring credits from Community Colleges to the 4 year colleges and U8nivgersities. This is mainly attributed the differences in requirements present by the recipient educational institutions. There is no doubt that if such issues are not resolved, the challenges are likely to increase further. According to many stakeholders, an increment in the enrolment into Community Challenge tends to aggravate the transfer problem as more and more students are taken to be having controversial qualifications. If this is the case, one would expect greater transfer challenges as making these colleges free would imply that the demand for the Community Colleges would increase and so would be the
