Over the course of hundreds of years, scientists have argued passionately about the concept of evolution. There have been many theories about the concept, and many have long been disproved by others. Evolution, simply put, is descent with modification. As times goes by, animals and other organisms change, such as in appearance or behavior. Today, evolutionists and legislators are still arguing about evolution; some feel that evolution is impossible while others feel otherwise. Many scientists have proposed theories relating to evolution, and Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution is the one that is accepted today. In 1859, he proposed his own theory, which consisted of the concept of natural selection and ‘survival of the fittest’. He spent most of his life researching on an island and had concluded that organisms alter over time “as a result of changes in heritable physical or behavioral traits” (Ker Than, 2015). Darwin also concluded that favorable changes in an organism allowed the organism to remain alive. The phrase ‘survival of the fittest’ sums this conclusion up; the phrase …show more content…

Today, evolutionists are still arguing about the topic. In an article from the Institute for Creation Research, “The lack of a case for evolution is clear from the fact that no one has ever seen it happen” (Henry M. Morris). If evolution were real, then many new species should have been seen by now; none have been spotted so far. According to an article on the website Changing Lives, complex systems cannot evolve bit-by-bit. Humans have evolved throughout generations, and evolutionists have wondered that if every body system needs to be functioning in order to survive, then the systems could not have evolved slowly over thousands of years. They body systems also could not have evolved independently since they all need each other to keep the human
