Recess Help Most people believe elementary, middle, and high schools should all have recess. Although, some people believe that students should not have recess because it affects their academic performance. Kids should have recess time. Studies show there are many benefits to recess. First, recess helps kids stay fit and active.
Recess is an enormass change that happens between elementary and middle school. Recess has a purpose, that middle school should not be able to take away. Getting better grades, calming aspects, and exercise are all reasons why middle schools should get recess. First, getting good grades is essential to getting the future that many people strive for.
Why don’t middle schoolers have a “recess” or free period? Honestly I don’t know. But in my opinion, all grades should have some type of free period like recess. This could help make friends, let the teachers have a break, and give us extra time for missing work or homework. All in all, it is a good thing for us, and even high school.
Early school times have been causing children in schools to earn bad grades. Research shows that these children tend to do better when schools are delayed. On the other hand, some people think that starting schools later means having less time to do homework. If schools start later, children will have time to get more rest. Many students are not getting the right amount of sleep.
School days are long and most of the time middle schoolers can 't wait to the end of school. That 's why recess should be there, it allows to enjoy sun or enjoy snow or whatever season. It also allows the kid to have su which is healthy for you also it gives you fresh air. Because otherwise a teenager could make a problem from having the lack of movement. One example is middle schooler boy who caused a disturbance got treated badly because sometimes he caused a disturbance and that hurt his self esteem.
While I was looking for a topic for my hot topic, this one caught my eye. At first, I didn’t know what a closed campus meant, but after doing some research I found out exactly what it means. A closed campus means that the students must stay on campus until the end of the school day, an open campus means that the students are free to leave campus during the school day. I honestly had no idea that a high school could have be open or closed. My high school was open the whole time I was there, and it still is now.
Whether Florida should go to year-round school is a new topic. Schools should not go to year-round school because teachers may not be able to find a babysitter and teachers don’t have time to tidy up. Even though year-round school helps kids remember what they learned schools should not go to year-round school. First teachers might not be able to find a babysitter for younger kids.

Therefore there is time in a student 's day for them to take a nap if we would only allow it. In conclusion, students should be allowed to take naps during school. This is due to the fact that napping improves the mood and academic performance of the student. And that many great leaders take naps.
The main argument is that recess does not prepare children for testing and that recess time is better off given to teachers because teachers will use that time effectively to have children prepared for their yearly testing. The reason behind this is the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) signed by former president George W. Bush in 2002. The NCLB forced schools to be accountable for the quality of education that they provided to their students. The NCLB act specifically made students take and pass standardized testing to prove that they have learned the basic English and math skills appropriate for their grade. This act had put school’s faculties and especially instructors under a lot of pressure because if students did not meet their expectations, the schools will not get funded.
Thus stating kids should get breaks anyways. After being in a classroom for months, they deserve a break. Staff and communities should take students’ opinions in mind when decide to change to an all year school schedule. Kids look forward to the break they get at the end of the school

If they were to stay after school the students who ride a bus would risk missing their bus which lead to a difficult situation for their parents. If a student missed the bus because they stayed after school their parent could end up losing their job because they had to leave work. A longer lunch break would allow students to go to teachers classrooms and get help during lunch so they don’t miss the bus after school.
