Should Marijuana be legalized? When you think of marijuana, do you think it should be legalized? Some people claim that marijuana is a bad drug that people should not have access to. The United States has only legalized marijuana for a recreational use in nine states but the use of medical marijuana is legal in twenty nine states. The use of marijuana is not always for fun, people smoke the herb to heal themselves with doctors notes, and some without. It can be smoked to cure many different things including stopping the spread of cancers, why shouldn't we legalize a substance that helps people through not only their physical pain, but their mental health, anxiety, and stress. When doctors prescribe people with medical marijuana it’s usually for cancer, glaucoma, PTSD, nausea, pain, etc.(web MD).
