Hunger Games V.S The Goonies Similarities and differences The hunger games and The The Goonies have various similarities and several crucial differences. Some examples of this are the calling to adventure, crossing the threshold, and the reward. One difference in the Call to Adventure between the The Goonies and Hunger Games is the motives behind their actions. In Hunger Games, Katniss's Call to Adventure is when her sister Prim's name was chosen to go to the hunger games. Katniss didn’t think twice and ran up and took her place to save Prim's life. In the The Goonies, their Call to Adventure was when Mikie found the map and saw the possibilities to find gold and treasure. He thought they could use the money they found to save their neighborhood from being turned into a golf course for the rich side of town.
