Using tobacco products can cause fatal consequences in the long run, and taking a heavy toll on their families’ well-being. Cigarettes and tobacco products should be outlawed. Smoking and tobacco products generate billions of U.S. dollars in tax revenue. In fact, a whopping $27 billion in revenue was predicted for 2017 (U.S. Congressional Budget Report, 2016). This money is extremely useful to government agencies and helps keep the economic wheel of the country running smoothly.
Smoking is addicting to do. Once an individual smokes one cigarette, he or she will get hook to it. Even if someone say quit smoking, they will not be able to, because it is very addicting. It is the same thing as being obese. It is very hard to not eat and starve oneself, which is also unhealthy.

For several years people have been smoking in public thinking ‘it’s my body I can do whatever I want,’ but it has been confirmed that smoking also harms others around them. Smoking can do a tremendous amount of harm to others, and the government needs to realize how affective it is, so they can start protecting citizens.
