Advertising through commercials, and social media are a big part of our economy. Without it, we would not know the latest sales and the newest products. Do food companies really believe that they do these advertisements for our wellbeing or just see us as dollar signs? Although these advertisements are made for most of the population, it would be naive of us not to recognize that private food industries advertisement all sustain various cartoon characters and theme songs to grab the attention of children. Kids are always in tune when it comes to being up to date with the newest deals. For examples, food industry love making apps to make it easier for the consumer to buy from them, but is it for our wellbeing or there’s? Apps are designed to allow customers an easier access to food, but what it’s causing is an abundance of kids/adults eating more. You can view at least 10 advertising of the newest sale for taco bell, McDonald’s, or Burger kings, just by opening any social media page like Facebook or Instagram. How are we not to get the craving for food when it’s all that we see. We need to stop food companies from showing productive advertisement because if we continue with this rate we will end up with more death and health problem start at the age of 8 instead of 40. Do we really want our children to continue this path of early diabetes? When will we stand and confront this issue and make a change? Food companies are like viruses. They don't care who they hurt in the process. No matter how old you are, you will always stop and look when you hear a catchy song or if you see one of your favorite cartoon characters. Just by hearing these two words your mind will automatically associate with McDonald. Ronald McDonald, it is represented as a happy clown with white face and red lips always in glee giving kids happy meals. Cartoons are widely used in the industries in order how to attract children to eat their products. The substance that is included in every meal includes a special additive that is like being addicted to drugs. Your body starts creating a lot of dopamine which in turn makes you addicted to food more specifically junk food. Kids don't have the knowledge to know when to stop. Not only will they be overweight, but they will suffer from bullying and that will give them depression and could even lead to death. I agree with pediatric obesity reports because what leads children to this addicted state to cause child obesity is a constant reminder that what we see is what we eat. It just takes one power button to start a tv and to see the excessive amount of food commercials. At the end of the day, we no longer watch a movie but see commercials for half of the time. Food Industries are not just trying to sell their food, but are always trying to lure kids into eating their merchandise because a kid is a forever customer to buy from the store.
