Steve Jobs was a technological pioneer who majorly contributed to the technological project. He was a visionary and an extraordinary innovator. Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955. His birth parents were John Jandali and Joanne Schieble. They gave their baby up for adoption because Schieble’s parents did not allow her to marry muslim Jandali. Steve Jobs was then adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs of San Fransisco, California. Paul, being an engine technician, introduced Steve to the world of engineering and design. Jobs continued to struggle with his birth as he expressed mixed emotions about both sets of parents. Jobs regarded himself as “Abandoned. Chosen. There friendship then began based on their love for technology and pranks. Their first project together was the blue box. This device allowed users to make long distance calls for free. Jobs turned the idea into a business by taking $40 worth of parts and selling the finished product for $150. This project gave them an idea of what they could do with Wozniak’s engineering skills and Jobs’s vision. Jobs decided to attend Reed College in Portland Oregon. It was a very small liberal arts school with a hippie reputation. Jobs realized, despite this reputation, college had some annoying requirements, like attending class. Jobs dropped out of Reed after a year but was allowed to continue taking classes as he wished. After a year and a half, Jobs decided to return home to silicon valley. After a project with Atari and a trip to India to pursue his interest in Eastern spirituality, Jobs decided to start Apple Computer with Wozniak. Wozniak had come up with the idea for the modern personal computer and although he wanted to give away his design, Jobs found a way to profit from this idea. They spent a month building 100 computers and within 30 days of selling them, Apple was profitable. Jobs realized the Apple I did not have polish or presentation like products made by other larger companies. Jobs brought in Mike Markkula to get the funding Apple needed to become a larger operation.
