Stop Animal Research Persuasive Essay

For many years, animal research has been performed on all types of animals in order to find drug development, cosmetic manufacturing, household products, food additives, pesticides, medical and scientific cures. Animals undergo many cruel and unethical tests without pain medicine, in order to achieve these findings. There are very negligible laws put into place to protect certain animals, while others are not protected at all. The purpose of this paper is to educate the readers on the pain and suffering an animal goes through while being tested, in order to benefit human society. I hope my research will persuade the reader to help stop animal research by speaking out on behalf of the animal and joining a support group that will fight against animal cruelty and fight for stricter laws that protects the animal. Animals are so much like human beings by displaying compassion and loyalty. The only difference is they can’t speak in the human language. My passion comes from personally rescuing four animals from abuse and neglect, three horses and one dog. When I rescued these animals, the fear which I have seen in their eyes when I first brought them home was heart wrenching. They cannot speak with their mouths, but their actions speak for them. I want to save the research animals from such abuse and neglect. I would like to be able to present enough evidence and speak out to the public and suggest other alternatives for researchers to use besides these animals and making stricter laws that stops the animals from experiencing such abuse.
