A strength of this study is that the children were given more than one scenario to respond to. In this specific study, children who participated in Experiment 1 and Experiment 2 had to respond an accidental transgression (MoToM) scenario and a moral transgression scenario. By having participants react to more than one scenario, the researchers were able to compare results between these two scenarios, and get better idea about how these children interpreted each different situation.
Another strength of this study is that in Experiment 2, children were given asked about punishment; for each scenario, the participants were told to answer whether or not the transgressor deserves punishment. This was an important follow-up to Experiment 2, and

Strengths
One strength of this experiment is that both ethnically heterogeneous schools and ethnically homogeneous schools were included. This is especially important and a strength for this specific experiment because it helped show whether participants from one type of school showed more or less bias than participants from another type of school; the research showed that students from homogenous schools demonstrated more bias than those from heterogenous schools.
Another strength of this experiment is that the study asked about cross-cultural friendships. This is a strength because it is a new concept being studied, and something very relevant for all kids in all types of schools, for all different ages. Furthermore, by studying this now, researchers are able to see if there is bias regarding children’s beliefs about cross-cultural friendships, and develop ways to combat this bias.
