STRYKER’S INTERNAL ANALYSIS CORE COMPETENCES: Every year Stryke releases a letter from the CEO that outlines accomplishments and goals. This letter holds importance because it allows the public and stakeholders an inside look as to where stryker is and where they plan to go. In a recent letter the CEO of that year stressed the importance in their core competencies. The first is expanding their global reach, then “improving operational effectiveness, broadening [their] product and service offerings, and positioning the Company as a key resource for all the people who have and will benefit from our products”. This key things all embody what Stryker is what they stand for. Consistently they are trying to achieve this and stay within their guidelines to achieve it. Tangible Resources From a financial perspective, Stryke has multiple resources. Year after to year the company has been able to achieve organic growth.Here is a brief overview and comparison of Stryker's financial resources from 2011 and 2015. In 2011 Skyler made net sales of $1,345 and in 2015 they made $1,439. Cash in 2011 was $3,418 and in 2015 was $4,079. They also have $16,247 worth of total assets in 2015. Stryke attempts to do all that it can to prevent their million dollar ideas from being taken. Some ways to prevent this is through patents, trademarks and copyrights. These are three things that Stryker has been collecting for over 75 years. In 2012, Stryker was reported to have 4,782 patents since their inception and just this year alone they have added 62 new patents. Stryker’s trademarks include : “1588 AIM, 3 Chip, CORE, Gamma3, Hoffmann, I.D.
