Since the beginning of time organizations have been set up in an attempt to create order among the people. Unfortunately, many complications arise within these groups which cause problems amid the people. Although they enforced equality, some classes evolved between the lower and higher ranked citizens. In a reading by Alexis De Tocqueville, he explains his views over American equality. Also, he discusses the oppression monarchs and dictatorships bring within their systems. Fearing the majority rule might become as oppressive as these other government groups, Tocqueville attempts to warn the people. Even though being killed for not obeying your leader is frowned upon nowadays they still do the same concept but in a legal way. Instead of killing you, they isolate you because of your public outcry. Everyone around you shuns you and makes you feel useless and wish you had not have said anything and wish for death to take the pain away. From this you will realize, we are being controlled whether they want to admit it or not. Nowadays they have complete control due to technological advancements. Able to hack into every little thing we do in our lives, they see it all. This can be uncomfortable for some people because aren't we supposed to be given freedom over these things? We should be able to have privacy, but unfortunately they do not agree. Even if we are simply driving down the road, we can be pulled over because we "look suspicious." Occurring quite often now, different races take this personal because they think they are being pulled over because the officer is racist. This should not be happening because everyone's rights should be protected. The government proclaims they are protecting us but they are causing controversies
